$5/20 Walgreens Coupon Scenario & Double dip days

When I asked what things you would like to see on the blog, Posting Photos of my shopping deals was one of the requests. As I aim to please, I am posting pics for these scenarios!
Last time I took pics, my hubby made fun of me, so I havent been taking any pics, but if that's what you want, I will do it, even if he does laugh at me ;)

OUT of POCKET costs:
$23, minus $24 RR earned, minus $2 Oct. Rebate=$3 OVERAGE for all this:

I did 3 transactions today for the $5/20 and the double dip this week:

First i got

1 Bic comfort 3 advance 4 pk razors (i had 3 $2mfg coupons but store only had one :(
2 Reach toothbrushes- used $1 coupons
3 pkgs halls- used BOGO free coupon and .35 mfg. coupons with the weekly .99 Walgreens coupon
1 triaminic thin strips- used $2 coupon
1 candy item for daughter for .60

I wanted to get two boxes of tylenol xtra strength but they didnt have any, boo...so no $5RR
and it put my total off so i didnt have $20 worth so i got the CD-R disks for $7.99 on sale

After coupons and RR, I paid 1.32 OOP and got $2 RR for Triaminic and $5RR for Reach

Next, I got:
4 vive pro conditioner -used 2 BOGO free coupons and two $1 coupons
1 Loreal skin genesis serum-used $1 coupon
1 triaminic-used $2 coupon
3 More free Halls using the BOGO coupon and .35 and .99 walgreens coupon
2 glade rebate items, the scented gel refills with .55 mfg coupons

--my hubby wanted some vitamins on sale BOGO-extra item i wouldnt have gotten on my own, but it did function as a filler, so can't complain.

I used a second $5/20 coupon on this one and they didnt care! (some stores may care, and some stores won't let you use the $5/20 coupon until after coupons. I was able to use the $5 walgreens coupon Before my Mfg. Coupons!!!)

I Paid $12.23 after coupons and RR, got $10RR for Loreal and $2RR for Triaminic and will get $2 Oct. Rebate for glade

Lastly, I got two more toothbrushes - used my last $1 coupon. only had one left
(there were only 4 left in the store-lucky for me i was able to do two and two again)

my hubby wanted the 5hr energy shots bogo sale, instead of the FAR 6hr energy(picky!)
so that was $4.24x2 extra items. I tried to explain if he got the 6hr energy, it would be free but he didnt get it.
...and he also wanted new headphones for mp3 $6.79 UGHHH

should have paid $5.94, but i didnt look at receipt till we got home. one of the 5hr energy was supposed to be free UGH
Got $5RR for the toothbrushes.

So, altogether, I still have $15 in RR, spent around $23 but should have been around $18. i will have to take receipt back tomorrow...

Preliminary Double Dip Scenario for this week

NEW to Walgreen's RR's?? HEre is some easy-cheesy ways to get started!!
Simply purchase one 500ml Crest prohealth mouthwash (by sept 26) for $4.45 and get $4.50RR back! You can then either keep that RR, or Purchase 2 Reach Ultraclean toothbrushes for $5 , use the Crest RR, and get another $5RR back for the toothbrushes! That makes both of these items free after RR's :) Clear as mud right?

(Newbie-Feel like trying to roll your RR's? Just purchase the mouthwash first. Then use your $4.50 RR to purchase the two toothbrushes. Take the $5 RR from the toothbrushes and purchase one more crest mouthwash and a "filler" item that costs at least .51 or more. Get that purchase nearly free and get another $4.50RR back! repeat..)

Well I was considering gettting the Tylenol products this friday/saturday during double dip at walgreens because it will be so cheap with both easy saver coupons, but looking at the sales for next week, I think I will wait and use most of my coupons next week so i can earn the $5RR instead.

However if you don't care about earning RR's and you want to still take advantage of double dip, I posted the double dip scenarios Here last week.(click on this link to read)
In a nutshell, children's tylenol 4 oz or infants drops 1 oz have $1.50 off IVC coupons in the sept easy saver and also in the oct. easysaver = $3 off.
Then use the $1 manufactureres tylenol coupon on top of that for $4 off each bottle.

OR

Do the same thing with the 40-50 ct Tylenol rapid release gelcaps and Tylenol sinus, cold or allergy
using the two easy saver coupons and
$1 mfg. tylenol coupons or the $1 pm rapid release mfg. coupons

FYI:
This week, When you buy 2 extra strength tylenol or PM you earn $5RR
Next week, (28th) When you buy 3 Tylenol allergy, cold, or sinus you will earn $5RR

The $1 tylenol coupon is on the tylenol website if you dont have it already.

There are several other good deals I posted for double dip including FREE glade scented oil candles w/holder, lotion, m&ms, free energizer hearing aid batteries, etc posted here. Dont forget that the glade candle also qualifies for the October rebate $2 each, up to $8. And the M&Ms also qualify for either the $5 sept. easysaver rebate OR if you already did that one, you can use it for the October $4 easy saver rebate. Use the $1 oct. ivc coupon on m&ms and the sept glade candle ivc coupon during double dip befor ethe sept. easy saver coupon expires.

--Remember, Last chance this week until the 27th to use the $2 off Visine Sept. IVC coupon, combined with the online printable coupon for $2 off Visine. should be free or nearly free.

Here is what I am planning on so far for double dip days friday/saturday. It is a work in progress so i will post my final scenario once i have that figured out!! UGH!

The Destroyer does NOT like cottonelle

Two Words:

S H E E R T E R R O R

The face says it all...Who knew?? "The Destroyer" is terrified of tissue-stuffed puppies!

You may remember me posting about the Cottonelle event that was held at walmart a couple weeks ago- yeah, so I took my 3 kids there to get their free, sweet little puppies that they got to stuff themselves with Cottonelle brand tissue. I guess they were trying to tell us that their toilet paper is good for more than just the obvious. You can use it as stuffing, for puppies, perhaps even bras- who knows?!

Anyways, the kids got to put the tissue inside of a puppy and keep it. If nothing else, if they ever need an emergency tissue for a runny nose, they know where they can find some tissues!

My six year old and my oldest liked the cute little pups.

The Destroyer, on the other hand, was not havin' it. I don't know if it was the tissue that scared him (maybe a bad sign for future potty training), or the puppies that did it. But he was clearly NOT a happy camper.
My little 6 year old Diva, of course, wanted to take some pictures with her new little furry friends. So we got a few snapshots of the 3 of them with their new puppies-

aren't they KEE EWWT!!

And the kids are pretty sweet too :)

The baby decided that he wanted absolutely no part of the puppies OR the pictures, so he attempted to make an escape, all the while, my Diva is still Posing, just as sweet as can be, totally unphased by the Screams of the Destroyer ringing in our ears. Just Look at her go!! Truly a pro:
It was at that moment, just as he was making his getaway-that the puppies decided to fight back. Just look, as one of these seemingly sweet puppies actually attacks "the Destroyer" by leaping onto his chest!
The destroyer had met his match.

Poooor Baby!

"Save me, I am being attacked by a Tissue-soft Terror!!"
Definitely NOT the Ideal poster boy for Cottonelle's Gentle, softness.
And I thought all boys liked puppy dogs...hmmm

This week's contest is for a pair of movie passes, good through 10/31/08.
GO here to view participating theatres near you and enter promo code 32952 and your zipcode to see movie listings.

Use your free tickets to see Lakeview terrace, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Dark Knight, the Mummy3, and many more!!

Pictures from the Lowe's Build & Grow Pirate Workshop

Ok, I am finally getting photos posted from last weekend's free kid's activity at Lowe's.

The kids had a great time, learned something neat like how to NOT hit your thumb with a hammer, Daddy was able to participate in something besides "girl stuff", and to top it off, it was absolutely FREE!!

My six year old was soooo diggin' the goggles they gave her and had to put them on right away! I noticed that all the "seasoned" participants around us weren't wearing their goggles- I am sure the biggest reason, was that they were lost somewhere in the house ages ago, but the other kids were lucky enough to at least still have their aprons intact, with badges from past workshops proudly embellishing the front.

She was also lovin' the pockets across the front of the apron, where the little card with Pirate trivia and" pirate speak" have been stashed, along with the piece of sandpaper she got in the kit.

Daddy loved being able to help out doing something "manly", instead of learning how to properly dress a Bratz doll or play pretend. Once my 6 year old was instructed on how to wield the pint-sized hammer, away she went- one problem, she wasn't hammering with enough gusto to make the tiny nails sink in. Although the wood was very soft, she was hardly making a dent!
So Daddy had to help with the first several nails, but then she learned a new technique that enabled her to hammer the nails in all by herself.

It was her own personal mantra. I would call it more of a women's mantra, LOL.
She would exclaim, "Die! Die! Die!", as she swung the hammer! That gave her enough "umph"
to do the job :)
She was proud of her newfound technique and kept demonstrating how it is to be done, and how the mantra must be recited, just right, and how it helped her wield the hammer with more strength. Way to go, little woman!

Her older sister, of course, didn't need any help and had plenty of arm power to get the job done. She mostly came along to please her little sister, and besides, she likes pirate stuff, too. They got really cool embroidered skull & crossbones patch to sew onto their apron- one of these days..

The kids took the pirate ships home and even decorated their own flag for the mast. They dug out their little Pirate figurines and had a real pirate scenario going. These pirate ships even have a functioning, retractable gangplank for their figurines to "walk on" and of course, here is where the newfound mantra came into play, again. It is perfectly proper to yell, "Die! Die!", as your pirate walks the plank and plummets to his death :) It is also proper to recite the mantra when your baby brother is running off with your new pirate ship, shrieking and laughing...Mom may want to borrow that mantra as well, if the fight continues.

Last week's Couponing Contest winner

What a great way to start of Mommy Monday here at the blog!

Announcing the winner of the Drawing for our Couponing contest last week.

Brandy bkwatts3 at gmail.com is the WONDERFUL WINNER!

Leave your comment by September 17th(wed) to claim the prize of Surprise products worth up to $20 (health/beauty/household products) and a bunch of coupons for your stash or to trade.

If you haven't tried trading yet, try it sometime! I listed a bunch of coupons i have to trade, here on my blog last week. You can also trade with other couponers on various coupon websites such as refundcents.com or refundsweepers.com, etc. Trade coupons you have for other coupons you need, trade for movie passes, or stamps or whatever comes to mind!

My favorite trade this week so far, is trading some coupons I had for 3 Universal studio movie passes. Put together with another pass I traded last week, I now have 4, which will be perfect for a birthday coming up. They cost me nothing more than a friendly coupon trade and one stamp to mail the coupons out.

You can even print out all the coupons on my sidebar, and use those IP's (internet printables) to trade with others for something you really want! It couldn't be easier or more fun!

I gotta run to the store, but I will be back shortly to post our Mommy Monday for today :)

More Walgreens to come! $10 off coupon 9/12-9/13

So don't go anywhere mommas!
I have just been busy catching up on some sewing orders so havent been able to post everything I want to this week...

But I am going to post DETAILS on what I bought at Walgreens this week because it was such an awesome week for me, I can't believe it. I want to share how I did it and hopefully those of you who are also new to couponing and Register Rewards can learn along with me, compare scenarios, maybe gather a few tips. If you have any questions, comments or just want to share your good shopping deals, please feel free! Those of you who are pro's can leave some advice for the rest of us? :)

-->Also, there is a BONUS Register Rewards that I discovered
this week at Walgreens.
If you purchase any of the Rapid Release Tylenol that is on sale this week, and using the easy saver coupon for $1.50., not only will you get the $4 RR back as advertised, but the machine will print out a mystery $2 RR as well!! To use on anything you wish.
So that is a $6 RR on the Tylenol sale this week only!!

-->Breaking NEWS!
Walgreens is offering yet ANOTHER $10 off any $40 purchase Tomorrow and Saturday only.
If you havent gone yet this week or you still have some things to get, wait until tomorrow.
I was thinking of going today but I am glad I waited. I have $24 in RR to use!! Remember, the $40 total has to be after sale and coupons.
A call to corporate informs us that you can ring up total with walgreens in store coupons and/or easy saver coupons first to total $40, use the $10/40 coupon, then use your manufacturer coupons!! So remember to use the $10 off coupon before your manufacturer coupons :)

Next week, is going to be a very small Walgreen's shopping trip for us, as there are not so many great RR's to earn. They have several $2 RR's and I think a $5 RR, but no $10 ones and definitely not several $10 RR's like there were this week.

However, if you didn't get the Crest Prohealth mouthwash for free after RR, that deal will be going on all month from what I hear. So buy the 500ml size for $4.49 and get a $4.50 RR back!!
This is an easy way to get started earning RR's and no coupons Required!! So if you havent done this yet, this is the perfect opportunity to start :)

Shopping tip: Just remember, if you want to buy more than one mouthwash to earn RR's, you will need to buy each bottle seperately. If you buy say, two of them together, you will only get one RR. So if you are going to buy 2 of them anyways, might as well split the purchase up and get both of the RR's back.
